Bergsig is open Mondays to Fridays from 08:00 to 17:00 and Saturdays 09:00 to 17:00.
Situated close to Bainskloof Pass and Ceres, renowned for its many walking trails and thick snow falls in winter, and surrounded by mountains, this is a photographer’s paradise. Formal bird watching days are held to monitor the many species on the Estate.
There are two ways to get there. Take the N1 from Cape Town towards Worcester, and 32 km after Du Toitskloof tunnel, turn left onto the R43, which is signposted Ceres, for 25 km. Alternatively, for a beautiful scenic drive, go through Bainskloof and turn right onto the R43, signposted Worcester, for 500m

Management
De Wet as Managing Director, is in control of winemaking and its related functions, as well as sales and marketing. He is ably assisted in the cellar by senior winemaker Chris du Toit and 4 permanent cellar staff.
Heading up sales, marketing and administration is General Manager Deidrè Labuschagne, with an administration, PR and sales staff of 6 plus a number of local and international agents.
The bottling plant has a workforce of 14 and also reports to Deidrè, to ensure close cooperation between sales and stock supply.
Prop Lategan leaves the day-to-day running of the farm to his sons,
but is involved in overall business strategy which includes conservation.
Louis and Plum with a dedicated team of farmworkers, have the responsibility for farm administration, a demanding job with 3 areas of operation: vineyards, fruit farming of pears and conservation.
Over 437 hectares of mountain, river and valley terrain is in the process of being restored to its natural habitat through the elimination of alien species.
