Situated close to Bainskloof Pass and Ceres, renowned for its many walking trails and surrounded by snow capped mountains in winter, this is a photographer’s paradise.
Formal bird watching days are held to monitor the many species on the Estate.
How To Get There
Scenic Route: Take the historical route through the Bainskloof mountain pass from Wellington. 25km of breath-taking natural beauty, majestic rock formations and winter snow-capped mountains. Exit the Bainskloof Pass and turn right at the first intersection. Proceed for 900m and turn right at the Bergsig Estate sign. Please note that the R43 has moved and has not yet been updated on Google Maps. Bergsig is situated on the right, off the R43.
Alternatively: Take the N1 from Cape Town towards Worcester. 32kms after the Du Toitskloof Tunnel, turn left onto the R43, sign posted “Ceres”. Proceed for 24km, turn left at the Bergsig Estate sign.
